Summer of Service: Health, wellness and coping with loss

July 13, 2009 This is a guest post from Heidi Hovis, an Equal Justice Works Summer Corps member at the New York Legal Assistance Group and law student at University of St. Thomas School of Law. One of our clients is a 20-year-old male. He came to New York Legal Assistance Group via a legal clinic held at a Manhattan adolescent health clinic. He began working with the clinic social worker after the death of his mother and was the primary caregiver for his mother during her illness and was there for her at the time of her death. Read More
