Other Member Benefits
Other member benefits, such as health care and child-care assistance, are handled by your host site. In order to qualify for child-care assistance, members must be income eligible as determined by the AmeriCorps child-care assistance program. Income eligibility is linked to the poverty level in the state where the AmeriCorps member is serving. If you are interested in the child-care benefit, please consult with your project director regarding health-care coverage or your eligibility for the AmeriCorps child-care assistance program.
You will be provided with either an AmeriCorps sweatshirt or T-shirt. These items are part of an AmeriCorps uniform and help to identify you as a member of an AmeriCorps program.
