Once an employer decides he or she would like to interview a student during the career fair, the employer will mark that student as “preselected” in Symplicity. The student will then be able to accept or decline the invitation to interview. Based on the schedule the employer submits, students will be able to choose what time they interview. Symplicity will then block off that time so that no other student can interview during that time and you will receive a final schedule before the Career Fair by email. At any time, an employer may log into their account and view their schedule and interviews.
Q: When should I contact students regarding interviews?
A: Employers may begin prescheduling interviews from September 11 until September 25. This will allow students enough time to make travel arrangements to the Career Fair.
Q: How long should interviews last?
A: Interviews may be either 20 or 30 minutes long.
Q: Do I need to send a copy of my interview schedule to Equal Justice Works?
A: Symplicity provides employers with their interview schedules. Equal Justice Works will also provide you a copy of your interview schedule when you check in.
Q: What is Table Talk, or Informational Interviews?
A: The informational interview sessions, or "Table Talk," provide an excellent opportunity for employers to meet informally with students and graduates. There are no prescheduled interviews or Conference workshops during these sessions, and any student may come speak to an employer during this time. Table Talk will take place in the afternoon on both Saturday and Sunday. All employers are required to participate in Table Talk.
