EQUAL JUSTICE WORKS WELCOMES TIM WIERZBICKI AS CHIEF DEVELOPMENT OFFICER
Washington, D.C., July 20, 2015 –Equal Justice Works is pleased to announce that Tim Wierzbicki will be joining the organization’s senior leadership team as its new Chief Development Officer, effective August 24, 2015. Mr. Wierzbicki brings 25 years of nonprofit management and development experience to Equal Justice Works, along with an unwavering commitment to our mission of creating a just society by mobilizing the next generation of public interest lawyers.
Mr. Wierzbicki will help establish our newly restructured Institutional Advancement department. He will spearhead our efforts to expand our Public and Private Fellowships while exploring new development opportunities, including previously untapped resources and constituencies for new programs and services.
Mr. Wierzbicki has extensive nonprofit development experience with special expertise in the field of public interest law from having started his career as Executive Director of the Minnesota Chapter of the American Civil Liberties Union to serving as Chief Development Officer and Deputy Director of Lawyers’ Committee for Civil Rights Under Law. His creative problem-solving strategies and visionary leadership led to significant advancements in fundraising within the sector. Immediately prior to joining Equal Justice Works, he served as Chief Development Officer and Vice President of the EastWest Institute, an international think tank focusing on conflict resolution in the service of global stability.
