EQUAL JUSTICE WORKS HOLDS LARGEST PUBLIC INTEREST LAW
CONFERENCE AND CAREER FAIR

October more than 1,500 public
interest-minded law students,
law graduates, law school
professionals and public interest
employers descend upon Washington,
D.C. for this two-day
event. The Equal Justice Works
Conference and Career Fair
includes interviewing for
permanent and summer positions,
skills building and career
advising sessions with experts
from around the country, as
well as workshops on effective
public interest organizing
strategies.
Highlights include:
- Plenary session featuring:
- Brandt Goldstein,
Author, Storming
the Court: How Yale
Law Students Sued the
President and Won
- Egil Krough, Attorney and Former Aide to President Richard Nixon
- Shannon Price Minter, Legal Director, National Lesbian Rights Center
- Workshops on topics such as:
- Defending internet free speech
- Affording a career in public interest law
- Grassroots organizing around constitutional issues
- More than 1,800 law students and graduates interviewing with more than 135 public interest employers including the American Bar Association, American Civil Liberties Union and United States Government.
