EQUAL JUSTICE WORKS NAMES KENNETH ANDERSON ASSISTANT DIRECTOR, LAW SCHOOL ADVOCACY | |

WASHINGTON,
D.C. - Equal Justice Works has appointed Kenneth P. Anderson Assistant Director of its Law School Advocacy and Outreach unit. Mr. Anderson will be responsible for creating and implementing initiatives that support public interest law programs and will lead continued development of The E-Guide to Public Service at America's Law Schools, an online resource hosted by Newsweek.com.
Mr. Anderson relocated to Washington from Phnom Penh, Cambodia, where he was the Legal Professional Development Advisor for the American Bar Association's Asia Law Initiative. In that position, he implemented projects for a USAID-funded program that advanced human rights, access to justice and the rule of law within Cambodian civil society. He also developed and directed a national Law Fellows Program that provides mentorship, training and public interest advocacy exposure to new lawyers and served as a Visiting Professor at the Royal University of Law & Economics in Phnom Penh. Prior to his assignments in Cambodia, Mr. Anderson was a partner in Valorem Consulting, a minority-owned firm that provided technical consulting services to nonprofit organizations, associations and small businesses, and was a Visiting Assistant Professor of Law at Georgetown University. Mr. Anderson received his bachelor's degree in international studies at Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore and his JD and MLA at Georgetown University Law Center in Washington. "Kenneth's considerable skills and experience will be great assets to Equal Justice Works initiatives and to legal education generally" said Chief Executive Officer David Stern. "We're delighted to have him as part of our team."
