Two Equal Justice Works AmeriCorps Legal Fellows are expanding pro bono and legal services in South Dakota. One AmeriCorps Fellow recruits law student volunteers and coordinate pro bono programs at the University of South Dakota School of Law. This AmeriCorps Fellow is housed at the law school in Vermillion, SD.
The other AmeriCorps Legal Fellow is housed by Dakota Plains Legal Services in Rapid City, SD. The Rapid City AmeriCorps Fellow recruits attorneys to help provide pro bono services in South Dakota and assists with coordination of state pro bono activities. Both AmeriCorps Fellows participate in direct legal services by carrying a small caseload.
