Three Equal Justice Works AmeriCorps Legal Fellows develop, coordinate and deliver self-help and community education programs to low-income people throughout the 17-county service area. Two AmeriCorps Fellows serve in Gainesville and one serves in Jacksonville, supervising law students to create self-help projects, work on helplines, interview clients and conduct outreach and clinics in various substantive areas ranging from housing and consumer law to domestic violence and special education. Additionally, the Gainesville attorneys carry a caseload of about five cases each, and the Jacksonville attorney will provide brief service and advice to clients.
