Senior Program Manager

Angie McCarthy is the senior program manager for the Crime Victims Advocacy Program in the Fellowships unit at Equal Justice Works.

Angie joined the organization with over 15 years of experience running programs dedicated to fostering a commitment to social justice lawyering among law students and young lawyers. Most recently, Angie led the Office of Public Interest at American University Washington College of Law where she managed the law school’s Pro Bono Honors Program, the Public Interest/Public Service Scholars Program, and advised a vibrant activist community of law students. Prior, she worked with the law school’s Women and the Law Program where she developed programming and coordinated grant-funded projects with both private foundations and government agencies that addressed the legal needs and concerns of women and LGBTQIA+ persons.

Angie holds a J.D. from American University Washington College of Law, an Masters of Philosophy in International Peace Studies from Trinity College, Dublin, Ireland, and a Bachelor of Arts from Manhattanville College in New York. She is licensed to practice law in Maryland.
