Administrative Coordinator

Chandra Pickett is an administrative coordinator in the Administration unit at Equal Justice Works.

Chandra is a Native Washingtonian, born and raised on Capitol Hill. Utilizing a variety of techniques and skills, Chandra has attained over 15 years of public service in nonprofit, education, Human Resources, and in public health. Chandra has extensive training with environmental scanning, establishing strategic goals and priorities, developing implementation strategies, and working with children, adolescents, and senior citizens. She helps people utilize their strengths to help them navigate challenges and achieve their goals. Chandra continues to work in community mental health settings, social work settings, inpatient/outpatient psychiatric facilities, child and family agencies, community health, and private practices.
As a Certified Mental Health Professional (CCHP) and Certified Strategic Thinker and Leader, Chandra promotes and advocates for the human and civil rights of individuals with mental health disorders to reduce the stigma and discrimination around mental health care services and the quality in which these services are provided to individuals in need.
Outside of work, Chandra enjoys being kind to people, sewing, biking, hiking (with her dog), traveling, gardening and trying new foods.
