Claire Cusella is the senior manager of strategy execution at Equal Justice Works, where she drives the enterprise-level coordination on strategic planning goals and new initiatives while ensuring integration and continued success on core activities and events. She is also responsible for managing the organization’s Leadership Development Training.
Prior to this role, Claire served as a program manager for Law School Engagement & Advocacy, managing law school membership and the organization’s Conference and Career Fair. She joined Equal Justice Works in 2014, originally as the executive assistant to the executive director. Before joining Equal Justice Works, she served as the scheduler and finance director for Maryland State Senator Jim Rosapepe and as a fundraising associate for two progressive political action committees. Additionally, Claire previously worked as a field organizer for the 2012 campaign of Congresswoman Louise Slaughter (NY-25) and as an intern in Senator Chuck Schumer’s district office.
Claire has a B.A. in Political Science and Sociology from the State University of New York at Geneseo and is certified as a Project Management Professional (PMP) by the Project Management Institute.
