Lynbea Toombs is the director of alumni relations at Equal Justice Works, where she is responsible for helping the organization increase its capacity to provide meaningful alumni engagement opportunities, amplify the lifelong value and community of Equal Justice Works Fellowships, and increase alumni participation in mission advancement.
As a higher education administrator with over eight years of experience, Lynbea has worked to facilitate alumni and student engagement at private and public institutions across the country. She brings a unique approach to modernizing alumni relationships by assessing their needs to increase program effectiveness and develop new initiatives that align with institutional goals. Her work has helped institutions cultivate campus environments centered on engaging constituents in public interest programming, fostering a strong sense of community, and developing meaningful experiences that connect alumni and students to their university.
Prior to joining Equal Justice Works, Lynbea served as the assistant director for campus life at Florida International University, where she served as the lead for major programming, student-alumni engagement and branding initiatives.
Lynbea received her B.A. in Public Relations from Hampton University and her M.Ed. in Educational Policy, Planning, and Leadership with an emphasis on higher education administration from the College of William & Mary.
