Randal S. Milch is the Co-Chair of the NYU Center for Cybersecurity. He previously served as the executive vice president, strategic policy advisor to Verizon’s chairman and CEO. Prior to that, he served as Verizon’s executive vice president, public policy and general counsel.
Over his 21-year career with Verizon and its predecessor companies, Randal resolved key legal and policy issues that paved the way for Verizon’s transition from a regulated phone company to a premier technology company in the digital age.
Before joining Verizon, Randal was a partner in the Washington, D.C., office of Donovan Leisure Newton & Irvine. His practice centered on complex federal litigation and international arbitration. Randal began his legal career as a clerk to Clement F. Haynsworth, Jr., Chief Judge Emeritus of the United States Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit.
Randal holds a J.D. from New York University Law School and a B.A. from Yale University.
