Our issue-specific Fellowship programs enable aspiring and committed public interest lawyers to jump right in and serve communities in need of immediate assistance. Equal Justice Works Fellowship programs range in geography and issue area, and have included addressing affordable housing, issues arising from crime victimization, disaster recovery, elder abuse, immigrant family security, and the unmet legal needs of veterans.
Follow our step-by-step guide to applying to be a part of one of Fellowship programs. Select a program that interests you and scroll through the list of program host organizations. Availability of Fellowship positions at host organizations depends on where the program is in its lifecycle. Once you identify a host organization that has an open Fellowship opportunity, visit the host organization’s website to complete the Equal Justice Works Fellow application to be hired as an Equal Justice Works Fellow.

For our Fellowship programs, candidates submit their applications directly to the host organization to be hired as an Equal Justice Works Fellow. Visit the host organization’s website to complete the Equal Justice Works Fellow application.
Beyond hands-on experience in a specific issue area, lawyers who join a Fellowship program become part of a core group of dedicated practitioners who share a common passion, learn together, share resources, innovate, problem solve and build a stronger community of practice.
