This webinar is tailored to law school professionals guiding students through the Design-Your-Own Fellowship application.
Each year, Equal Justice Works funds approximately 70 public interest Fellowships across the country, each for a two-year term. These entrepreneurial projects are designed by a host organization and candidate in tandem to address an unmet legal need. Approximately one-in-six candidates are funded every year and Equal Justice Works wants to give law school staff the know how to make students successful in this competitive process.
Law school public interest and career services faculty and staff play an integral part in preparing students to apply for the Fellowship by connecting them with host organizations, reviewing their applications, and prepping for interviews. This webinar will focus on engaging students in their 1L and 2L years to learn about them Fellowship, helping them find host organizations, coaching them to write a compelling application, and convening “review teams” to ensure applications have several layers of review and edits.
