The Project

Alisé M. Pilson provided direct representation to veterans who are homeless or who are at risk of becoming homeless and with income eligible military families on issues including landlord tenant matters, home foreclosures, health and disability benefits issues, child support and other family law matters, consumer and medical debt, legal matters related to financial planning, drivers’ license reinstatement, and expungement issues. Second, Alisé M. Pilson worked with community partner agencies, to create protocols and facilitate referrals. Third, Alisé M. Pilson delivered presentations at Veterans’ Centers on legal topics of broad appeal and create educational materials to be shared with host staff statewide.

This Fellowship was an incredible opportunity to help veterans, which has historically been an underserved population. Through the various networking and partnership opportunities with other veteran organizations, our society will continue to see great strides in veterans support.

Alisé M. Pilson’s passion for justice and my overall tenacity made her the right person for this project.
