The Project
Blake Johnson (he/him) will strive to bolster Kentucky Legal Aid’s outreach to those impacted by natural disasters.
Fellowship Plans
Blake plans to assist as many clients and communities that were impacted by the December 2021 tornado as possible. To accomplish this, Blake will strive to complete outreach events in each of his assigned counties by the end of his Fellowship. In doing so, he will accumulate a significant amount of client cases and inform members of the communities about disaster preparedness and resiliency methods.
Blake was inspired to complete a Fellowship after helping those in need following the December 10, 2021, Tornado Outbreak. Blake was fortunate enough to not be directly impacted by the December 10 Outbreak but felt the need to serve the impacted communities in any capacity possible.
There's a need to provide both legal and general services to those in need following natural disasters. Attorneys should strive to help those in need and it's our duty to help when the situation arises.
