The Project
As an AmeriCorps Legal Fellow with Legal Aid of the Bluegrass, I will be focusing on domestic violence and custody disputes arising therefrom with a focus on increasing awareness and resources for domestic violence victims in rural counties. Unfortunately, there were 18 deaths from intimate partner violence in Kentucky during the past year, our program includes, reviewing a lethality index that lawyers can use in an attempt to determine how much risk his/her client is facing.
