The Project

I work with Community Refugee and Immigration Services in Columbus, Ohio. My project focuses on providing services for immigrant and refugee women from the Horn of Africa (Somalia, Ethiopia and Eritrea). I provide direct immigration legal services to this population, while also working with others to help these women gain access to other services such as language and employment training and health care. My work allows me to contribute to the integration of these migrants and the empowerment of women, and builds trust and understanding among them.
