The Project

Chase’s project worked to address a gap in services and organizing for trans, gender non-conforming and intersex (TGNCI) people with psychiatric disabilities. Many TGNCI-friendly institutions fail to support the needs of people with psychiatric disabilities and institutions set up to provide support to people with psychiatric disabilities are not TGNCI-friendly. Through direct services, community education, policy work, and litigation, Chase worked to create sustainable coalitions with the disability justice movement and develop strategies to fill this gap.
