The Project

The Justice Bus Project at OneJustice is focused on providing free legal clinics for low-income Californians living in rural and isolated communities throughout the state. The Justice Bus takes teams of attorneys and law student volunteers to these areas to provide much-needed legal services on a wide variety of issues. Law student volunteers first receive training on the legal issue and then work with the attorneys during the clinic to help find a solution for the clients.

Throughout law school, Cheryl worked at several public interest organizations in the Los Angeles area. Cheryl was particularly interested the opportunity to work with OneJustice on their Justice Bus Project because she was eager to help rural and isolated communities who may not have the same access to legal services as those living in urban areas like Los Angeles.
