The Project

Domestic violence triggers chemical dependency and mental illness in many women. These conditions present tremendous obstacles for women in violent relationships, and women suffering from mental illness and/or addictions may be less likely to leave their abusers. The goal of my project is to assist indigent women with mental illness and/or chemical dependency in escaping violent relationships and to remove barriers to protective and legal services. I will accomplish these goals through direct representation, community education and advocacy.
