The Project

Indiana worked with the LegalHealth Unit and the Immigration Protection Unit. Through LegalHealth, Indiana provided on-site legal services to Survivors of Torture and Brutality at the Bellevue Program for Survivors of Torture and the newly created Libertas Center for Human Rights at Elmhurst Hospital, where such individuals seek medical and psycho-social care. Through the Immigration Protection Unit, Indiana screened clients for immigration fraud issues and provided direct services. Additionally, Indiana will be conducting outreach to immigrant communities and delivering presentations on how to identify and prevent immigration fraud.
