The Project

Liz provided legal representation to Central American refugee families, and develop policy advocacy, primers, and impact litigation strategies to address common procedural complications in their cases.

Liz’s project focused on three goals: (1) providing direct representation to the most vulnerable refugee women and children across the United States, with a focus on procedurally difficult cases; (2) drafting guides for attorneys and advocating for policy changes related to procedural barriers; and (3) developing impact litigation to address common procedural complications in refugee cases.

Liz plans to stay on at the Asylum Seeker Advocacy Project (ASAP) as co-legal director and continue to fight for the rights of asylum seekers through litigation and other systemic reform.
