The Project

Margaret addressed the significant need for education advocacy for children with autism in low-income and minority communities in Chicago. The project employed three main strategies: direct representation to ensure children receive high-quality education services and appropriate school settings; education and advocacy to increase early identification; and training to transform parents into strong educational advocates.
