The Project

My project as a Veterans Legal Corps Economic Stability Fellow includes being responsible for expanding the work of LAFLA’s Veterans Justice Center by providing direct legal services to veterans involving such issues as government benefits, citation defense, expungements, driver’s license reinstatements, employment matters, unemployment benefits, child support, and VA benefits; performing community outreach and staffing clinics; identifying employment issues that may lead to expansion for a wider positive impact; and identifying and managing cases for pro bono placement.
