The Project

The “Accidental Death Penalty” is a term that describes the deplorable conditions in Texas jails, prisons and detention centers, that kill hundreds of prisoners each year. Michelle strived to end the gross indifference, isolation and silence that cause the Accidental Death Penalty. Additionally, Michelle provided outreach and education to the detained about their rights to health and safety as well as work to create better safeguards and security in Texas prisons.
