The Project

Nathaniel Nabaa is a 2018 Equal Justice Works Fellow serving in the Disaster Recovery Legal Corps (DRLC).

Nathaniel addresses the legal needs of low-income communities affected by the devastation of Hurricane Harvey and its aftermath by engaging, training, and mentoring pro bono attorneys to represent disaster-affected individuals and households. With his support, these pro bono attorneys assist clients in disaster-related legal matters related to housing, insurance, and replacing important documents lost during the storm.

Nathaniel has experience in bankruptcy, personal injury, and criminal law. Prior to joining the DRLC, Nathaniel interned at The Rhodes Law Firm, PC, the Office of the District Attorney General in Nashville, and the Tennessee General Assembly Office of Minority Affairs. He holds a B.S. in political science from Tennessee State University, a J.D. from the Thurgood Marshall School of Law, and an L.L.M. in health law from the University of Houston Law Center.
