The Project

Providing low-income and homeless veterans across the State of Oklahoma with access to justice. Through the Veterans Legal Corps, critical legal services are provided to help veterans achieve higher incomes, improve healthcare, secure housing, and improve family stability. Providing critical legal services to Oklahoma veterans in order to improve and/or protect access to income, healthcare, housing, and family stability.

Fellowship Highlights

During Nichole’s Fellowship, Nichole:

  • Served over 150 low-income veterans
  • Opened nearly 100 cases for low-income veterans
  • Secured over $600,000 in economic benefits for her clients
  • Increased the number of veterans served in Oklahoma
  • Partnered with local organizations to increase access to services for low-income veterans
  • Expanded her knowledge in new areas of practice
