The Project

Richael Faithful aimed to change the state disenfranchisement laws into a fairer automatic voting rights restoration system for people convicted of felonies. Virginia is one of two states which permanently disenfranchises all citizens who are convicted of felonies. Richael provided additional tools to affected folks and organizers, including the threat of litigation, to bring unprecedented pressure on the Governor to transition into a more humane system.
