The Project

The goal of our project is to establish a new medical-legal partnership by opening a new legal clinic to serve homeless and at-risk veterans at the VA Medical Center in Baltimore, Maryland. Our project will involve outreach efforts to increase awareness of veterans’ rights, including visiting homeless shelters and developing informational materials. It will also involve recruiting and training law students and attorneys to assist with outreach, intake, and representation. In establishing this clinic, we aim to reduce homelessness among veterans by providing access to legal representation in claims for state, federal, and VA disability benefits and state health insurance.
