Amanda Bosley

The Project

Amanda will provide disaster-related services to help disaster survivors stabilize, recover, and rebuild after the severe storms, tornadoes, straight-line winds and flooding that recently occurred in south and east Texas.

Beginning 5/4/15, and continuing, several storms hit south and east Texas causing major flood and wind damage to citizens’ homes, vehicles, and other property. This area was declared a federal disaster, and survivors need help to rebuild their lives after the storms that destroyed their homes and personal property. Legal problems can result from disasters like these recent floods. It is essential that Texans receive the legal assistance they need to get their lives back on track and to recover.

The Project

Provide legal services to disaster survivors to help them stabilize, recover, and rebuild after disaster strikes.

Texas has been hit by several disasters in the last few years. As a result of these disasters, survivors run into many legal issues and feel they have nowhere to turn. It is essential that Texans receive the legal assistance they need to get their lives back on track and to recover.

The Project

Provide free civil legal assistance to military service members and veterans and their families.

Fellows assists clients with a variety of issues including, but not limited to: bankruptcy, family law matters, estate planning, VA healthcare and disability claims, and housing. Clients may receive representation in legal proceedings, limited services like document drafting, and advice.

The Project

Assist disaster survivors with legal issues as they navigate the recovery process.

Disaster survivors are assisted in trying to obtain home repair, personal property, and other needs assistance from FEMA. Such assistance as proving home ownership for FEMA assistance is provided. Likewise, survivors receive assistance in trying to settle claims with insurance companies, as well as disputes with contractors.
