The Project

Whitney worked to prevent foreclosure throughout the state of Mississippi. As one of the poorest states in the nation and the state with the highest rate of mortgage default, the foreclosure crisis is hitting Mississippi particularly hard. Add the lingering affects of Hurricane Katrina on job availability and access to affordable housing, and the problem has become epidemic.
