
Richard Luong
Director of Institutional Advancement
Richard Luong is the director of institutional advancement at Equal Justice Works. In this capacity, Richard serves as the operational lead for the organization’s advancement initiatives.
Richard began his career in environmental litigation representing citizen groups adversely affected by natural gas drilling in Pennsylvania, and later transitioned to non-profit development and management, serving in leadership roles at organizations, including Rising for Justice and WHRO Public Media.
A son of Vietnamese refugees, Richard leads a volunteer initiative to collect and map the journeys of the Vietnamese diaspora through the non-profit, Vietnamese Boat People, where he is a Board member. He also serves on the Board of the CAN Foundation and is Co-Chair of the College of William and Mary’s Asian Pacific Islander Middle Eastern Alumni Advisory Board.
Richard received his J.D. with public service honors from New York Law School and holds a B.A. from the College of William and Mary.
