EQUAL JUSTICE WORKS ANNOUNCES 2017-2018 NATIONAL ADVISORY COMMITTEE
WASHINGTON, D.C., JULY 28, 2017 – Equal Justice Works, the leading nonprofit organization committed to mobilizing the next generation of public interest lawyers, today announced the newest members of its National Advisory Committee.
Formed in 2003, the National Advisory Committee (NAC) convenes a diverse group of eight law students and eight law school professionals to act as Equal Justice Works ambassadors within the law school and legal services communities. NAC members extend the reach of Equal Justice Works initiatives by providing leadership, feedback, and outreach assistance to support the organization’s goal of helping students develop a lifelong commitment of working on behalf of underrepresented individuals, communities, and causes.
NAC members serve two-year terms and will meet today in Washington, D.C., for a daylong strategy session on how best to expand access and knowledge of public interest law in their respective regions.
