We’re pleased to share that Hana Hausnerova has joined Equal Justice Works as the associate director for public programs.
Hana will assist in the planning, strategy, and implementation of the organization’s publicly-funded Fellowship programs. She brings over a decade of experience in nonprofit operations, fundraising, program and federal grants management.
Hana shared, “I am proud be a part of Equal Justice Works, and I look forward to applying my background in international democracy and governance to design, implement, and manage Fellowship programs that address pressing civil legal aid needs domestically.”
Most recently at the American Bar Association Rule of Law Initiative (ABA ROLI), Hana developed, implemented, and monitored strategic initiatives to advance the mission of ABA ROLI. In this role, she collaborated with ABA ROLI’s Board of Directors and senior management to develop a five-year strategic plan; simplify and institutionalize organization-wide program and business procedures; and procure $30M+ through fundraising and grant writing. Before joining the executive team at ABA ROLI, Hana managed USG funded democracy and governance programs in Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, Serbia, and Tajikistan.
Hana holds a LL.M. from The George Washington University Law School, a J.D. from Suffolk University Law School, and a B.S. degree from Georgetown University. She is a dual citizen of the U.S. and the Czech Republic and speaks fluent Czech.
