Equal Justice Works Career Fair

2026 Information for Law Students & Recent Graduates

Join us virtually as we bring together more than 2,500 law students and 250+ public interest employers from across the country for this year's Equal Justice Works Career Fair.

Registration

Student and recent graduate registration for this year’s virtual career fair (October 8-9, 2026) will open in in August. Only those students and recent graduates from an Equal Justice Works member law school are eligible to participate in this event. 

Registration is $25 for the event. Several schools cover the registration fee for students. Please contact your law school administrators to find out if your law school is covering the cost for students for this year’s event.

Launch Your Career in Public Interest Law

Students and recent graduates are encouraged to apply for posted jobs from across the country. Candidates selected by employers will have the opportunity to interview during the Career Fair event.  

Update for 2026Based on recent feedback from employers, applicants, and law school professionals, this year’s event will not offer informational Table Talk sessions. Equal Justice Works remains committed to fostering meaningful connections between public interest organizations, law students, and recent graduates and will continue to provide opportunities for engagement outside of the Career Fair.

Important Dates

Student Registration Opens: August 3 at 9:00 a.m.
Student and recent graduate registration will open soon. See above for the registration link.

Career Fair Registration Deadline: September 11 at 12:00 p.m.
Event registration for the career fair will close for those students. 

Application Deadline: September 11 at 11:59 p.m. 
Students must submit all job applications for employers to review. Employers will select candidates to interview during the Career Fair. 

Prescheduled Interview Sign Up Deadline: September 11 at 11:59 p.m. 
Students will be notified of the status of their applications on Friday, October 2 at 12:00 PM ET and will then have time to cancel their interview offers.

Interview Schedule Deadline: September 28at 11:59 p.m.
Employers and candidates will be sent a final version of their interview schedules. These emails will include the virtual meeting links for prescheduled interviews. 

Alternates Interview Sign Up Deadline: September 30 at 9:00 a.m.
If you are selected as an alternate candidate and moved to “invited” status, you will have this time to either accept or decline your interview offer. Any available time slots will be filled on a first come, first served basis.
